"Mom, it's kind of hard to talk now"

Why is it that losing your two front teeth is so exciting? It's definitely funny looking, but so adorable when they try to talk isn't it? Jonah FINALLY lost his two front teeth. It was definitely a day to celebrate! He has been frustrated that all his friends have lost a ton of teeth and he had only lost his bottom two last year. I kept telling him that his teeth liked him to much to want to come out. He didn't appreciate that. It doesn't help that last year and this year they make this big deal at school if you have lost a tooth. It's very exciting but not so fun to be the only one not losing any. But within 4 days he lost both of them. YEAH!!! He is already trying to get the next ones wiggly. I loved it when he turned to me and said, "Mom it's kind of hard to talk now". If any of you don't know, Jonah is the ultimate perfectionist. It only took him a day though to figure out how not to sound so funny. I am willing to bet he put a lot of effort and thought into it. The "tooth fairy" almost fell through both times though. Thank heavens Tony has early morning seminary and remembered to go get some $$$ for the first one. The next one came to mind around 3:00 am, so there I was counting quarters in the bathroom half awake, definitely not all there. In the end it all worked out. He was only mildly disappointed that he only got $2 instead of $25. We watch My Dad is Better than Your Dad and one kid mentioned just last week he gets $25 for each tooth. I don't know where that tooth fairy is coming from but I was lucky to get a single quarter when I was a kid.
Tate of course thinks it is great that Jonah lost his teeth and now constantly is asking for me to wiggle his teeth. After the one hundreth time of sticking my fingers in his mouth, I finally gave in and agreed that his tooth feels a bit loose. Is this bad of me?

Just a Quick Update

So I had my regular appointment this week and it went terrible. Belle is fine don't worry.... My Dr. had asked all the normal questions about what was going on and cramping and what not and of course I told her. Well then she proceeds to check me and freaks out. I am not quite dilated to a 1 but I am almost completely effaced. She gave me the riot act and told me I have three weeks before I come back and if I don't slow down then she will put me on bed rest. AHHH!!! My biggest fear of course. The hard part is I feel like I have already slowed down. If any of you have seen my house you would agree. I have three kids for heavens sake. I definitely am being more careful when I'm playing the Wii and also cleaning the preschool. But it was all I could do to get out of the office without sobbing. I feel like I can't win with this pregnancy. There is always one thing or another going on. I'm just trying to focus on keeping Belle safe for the next three months and if that means bed rest then in the big scheme of things it won't be so bad right? I will definitely have bedsores, a messy house, ignored children, a husband that might want to shoot me because I will be going insane but best of all eventually my beautiful baby girl.

Anyways, on a brighter note.............Kiegan and Jonah started baseball this week and absolutely love it. They have improved so much over this past year. Tate keeps asking how old he has to be to play baseball and can't wait to grow up for some reason. I am completely content with keeping him little a bit longer. It is already hard enough playing taxi driver to two, especially with overlapping baseball schedules. Thank heavens for friends. I love baseball and am very excited to be a baseball mom this year. I also am very much looking forward to seeing a few Mariners games, especially when the Yankees are in town. Go Yankees!!!

WARNING!!!! PLAYING THE Wii MAY CAUSE CONTRACTIONS

So they were only Braxton Hicks but still, a contraction that you can actually feel and need to sit down is a contraction right? Yes, we finally got our Wii. We (meaning all of us) are completely addicted and obsessed. I hate bowling, but on the Wii it is so much fun. I can actually beat Tony. Tony and I wait until the boys are in bed and then have competitions. The other night we were bowling and I was totally having Braxton Hicks. But because we were having so much fun we just kept playing and then we would pull the old "just one more game" over and over again. We sounded just like the boys. Nonetheless Belle is fine, I am fine. I don't really get how pretending you are bowling with a remote can cause pain and wrestling with a 4 year old doesn't but whatever. I am still addicted. So any of you who want to come play are more than welcome. I do have to warn you though Tony and I are a pretty mean team on tennis.

Complaint of the Day

So I know it's no fun to hear people complain but I have to share my complaint. Then I promise I will tell you something good.......
So Tony is taking me out on a hot date tonight. He is so good to me, he even lined up the babysitter and everything. (It's really nice having him teach seminary to half the girls in our ward) Anyways, I am down to ONE single pair of pants that still somewhat fit. If I push them under my belly then they are pretty comfortable until I sit down right. I have some dear friends and family that have let me borrow a few of their maternity clothes. Well, guess what? My belly isn't big enough to hold the pants up yet! Imagine that. I know boo hoo your thinking. I would just really like to look good tonight for my hot husband. You all know me and know that I would complain of this to my hot husband and being the wonderful man he is he would send me off to the store to buy some pants that actually fit. Did I mention he is good to me? So here is the drama.......I go to Target since that's the closest and try on one million pairs of pants. I have prepared myself the whole way to Target to not focus on the size just focus on the fit. (I have to keep reminding myself this the whole morning since I tend to get depressed trying on pants.) I finally decide that I like these two pairs of levis and then these ultra comfortable cotton/spandex black pants. You know the kind with the matching hoodie that feels like pajamas but are sporty enough to wear outside the house. I walk around Target for another hour but I'm fighting myself on the one pair of levis. I really liked how they fit everywhere but the length. I definitely would have to hem them. I am in no means a seamstress but being a shorty I've had to hem a few pairs of pants. Long story short I talked myself out of them and decided that for now I would just buy the one pair of levis and the black ultra comfortable pants. Upon arriving home I immediately put the black pants on. I love them. They are so comfy. I'm still feeling a bit sad about the other really cute levis. But who wants to do a hem job?
Ten minutes later............. I'm trying to get Tate ready for school and straightening up the house a bit for the sitter. And what happens? My pants are falling off of me. AAAHHH!! I can't tie them tight enough to stay "up" on my belly, they just keep sliding down. I want to scream. Not only am I pulling them up every two seconds but now they are stretching out and they are starting to look like pajamas. You know when the knees and the behind get a little loose? I am so sad :( What I really wish is that you could try on pants at the store and then wear them around the store for an hour to see if they are really going to work or not. I refuse to take them back of course because I have now worn them for a couple hours. I am now a bit concerned about my new levis though. I might just accidentally moon some poor bystander tonight on my date. Let's hope not but if I have to keep pulling them up every two seconds I might just scream!!!!!
So there you go my complaint of the day. You have now officially earned the right to hear something good. Yesterday I was in Jonah's class for the V-day party. All the kids were opening their Valentines and getting so excited about them. I love that they think each card was specifically picked out just for them. Anyways, my sweet Jonah would open one card and then rush over to the sender and thank them protrusively. This went on and on. As I watched him I was so proud and touched I literally got tears in my eyes. Eventually a few of the other kids started saying thank you to each other to but I was beaming thinking I did something right with this kid. What a great parent I must be. I wander over and talk to him for a minute and tell him he just made me the proudest mom ever. That I am so impressed with him and his manners and kind heart and then give him a big hug. (To those of you who can imagine Jonah's face with his little lips and deep voice) He turns and says to me with a shrug of the shoulder, "What mom? My teacher told me to."
My heart was crushed. I had such high hopes I had actually taught him something great. But no it's just my little Jonah doing exactly what the teacher told them to. SIGH...

I LOVE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

We went to Children's today and saw the Head Pediatric Cardiologist there. He is a pretty amazing man. He searched and searched and tried to find anything wrong with little Belle's heart but couldn't find anything to be worried about. The only thing he found was that there "might" be the tiniest (1 mm) hole. He said that it is so tiny he isn't the least bit worried about it and wouldn't be surprised if it closed on it's own before delivery. YEAH!!!! He declared that she had good valve function and good heart structure. It is such a relief to have such positive news about her heart. No more worrying about her heart for now. He must of thought I was some freak or something because I couldn't stop smiling after he gave us the good news. I was so excited and giddy the whole way home. It just proves once again what a true little angel our little Belle is. She continues to surprise and impress me.
I can't believe I am officially six months now. Only a few more months to go and I can hold her in my arms. Ooh what is she going to wear home from the hospital? Maybe I should celebrate and buy her something this weekend. Or maybe I should celebrate and buy me something to wear home from the hospital. Hard decision. We have the regular ultrasound next Tuesday and we will see if she is still as tiny as ever. We'll keep you posted.
