Kiegan came downstairs last night and was going on and on about not being able to find his Leprechaun catcher that he made, so what was he going to do? We had to break it to him that Leprechauns aren't real and that it is just a fun thing to pretend. He then went on and on about the kids at school setting out things for him and what not. I told him if he kept it a secret then we could do it. This is what we found when we came upstairs to go to bed. (If you click on the picture then you can actually read the letter they wrote.)
Tony and I aren't green, magical, and have a bucket of gold. But we played the part anyway. We almost couldn't find any candy to put in there shoes but it all worked out and they couldn't have been more excited this morning when they woke up. Strangely even Kiegan. Here's to a new tradition I guess.

Are Leprechauns real?

She saved the day!!!!!
Have you ever wondered if things happen for a reason? Today I had my scheduled ultrasound and I was getting Tate ready to take to a friends and my dear, wonderful, amazing, friend Vicki called. I was talking to her and thought I would just get Tate in the car while I said goodbye and we would be on our way. Well, when I opened up the door to go into the garage I was surprised to see that some sweet little person had left the van door open. So of course I'm freaking out because sure enough my battery is dead. So what does Vicki do? She sweeps in and saves the day. She drops everything she is doing and rushes over to take me to my appointment. By this time though we don't have enough time to drop Tate off, so I'm racking my brain on what to do. The office has this HUGE sign that pretty much says small children are not allowed. I'm debating on what to do and decide that in the past Tate has been really good at my regular appointments if he has the DS. I get Tate's seat out of the car and make him sit on it outside in the rain while I am running frantically around the house trying to find the DS. I can't find it anywhere of course so I grab an I SPY book and pray that this will keep him occupied. Vicki comes and we rush to the hospital in her fancy new car. She is truly amazing. She not only acted so thrilled to come but also so thrilled to entertain Tate while there. Is this not a great friend? I should note that Tate absolutely adores Vicki and was so excited to hang with her. (She works at his preschool as the assistant teacher) After a few cramps, a few deep breathes, and few grumbles under my breath we got there and everything was fine. They took us right in and only gave us a small weird look that we had a little friend with us. Tate was an angel and enjoyed Vicki looking at his book with him the whole time. For me it was so nice to have someone else there because I get so flippin bored at the ultrasounds. (techies don't provide much conversation) It all worked out great and Belle is doing awesome. She is FINALLY out of the 10th percentile and officially into the 11th. She now weighs 2 lbs 7 oz. And is a very wiggly girl. She refused to let us get a good picture of her face again. You definitely have to use your imagination a bit on the new picture at the bottom. I also posted a picture of her hair. The little white fuzzies floating out the sides of her head are hair, YEAH!!!! I wasn't going to put the pics from last month on because they are kind of creepy but I did anyway. The first picture on 2/19 is a front view of her face. It is kind of creepy because you can see her nose bone and through her eyelid at her pupil. The second picture on 2/19 is one of those cool 3D ones but once again she was hiding her face. The next is the picture of her hair which you have to look very close. I tried to make the picture bigger but it wouldn't really work. The arrow is pointing to a white blob on the side of her head, that's her hair. Then the last one.....good luck. It is the closest we could get to a profile. She is horizontal. If you look right to left, the bright white on the far right side is her forehead and then move left to see her little nose, mouth, and chin. They are still concerned about my placenta but we have appointments weekly now for non-stress tests and then every other week for ultrasounds along with that. She checked and double checked my cervix and said it looks long even though it probably is thinned which is a good thing. (Honestly I don't know what that all means, I just wait for the "good thing" and nod my head) Overall everything is progressing beautifully and we can just hope I won't have to go on bed rest anytime soon.
At the end of the day it comes down to thank heavens for Vicki and thank heavens for small little miracles in our everyday lives. I am so glad I was talking to her on the phone and it all worked out. I hope everyone has a Vicki in their lives.

Woman on TOILET for 2 years
Tony showed me THE MOST bizarre article I have read in years. Seriously Years! Here is the link: http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2008/03/12/ap4765972.html Please someone tell me why you for one thing would lock yourself in a bathroom longer than a day and second why the boyfriend didn't do anything about it before then? What is this? It is so completely weird I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around it. Honestly I do have to say that my heart does break for the woman who is now all over the news and is known for her behind skin to have grown around a toilet seat. But really?

"Mom, it's kind of hard to talk now"
Why is it that losing your two front teeth is so exciting? It's definitely funny looking, but so adorable when they try to talk isn't it? Jonah FINALLY lost his two front teeth. It was definitely a day to celebrate! He has been frustrated that all his friends have lost a ton of teeth and he had only lost his bottom two last year. I kept telling him that his teeth liked him to much to want to come out. He didn't appreciate that. It doesn't help that last year and this year they make this big deal at school if you have lost a tooth. It's very exciting but not so fun to be the only one not losing any. But within 4 days he lost both of them. YEAH!!! He is already trying to get the next ones wiggly. I loved it when he turned to me and said, "Mom it's kind of hard to talk now". If any of you don't know, Jonah is the ultimate perfectionist. It only took him a day though to figure out how not to sound so funny. I am willing to bet he put a lot of effort and thought into it. The "tooth fairy" almost fell through both times though. Thank heavens Tony has early morning seminary and remembered to go get some $$$ for the first one. The next one came to mind around 3:00 am, so there I was counting quarters in the bathroom half awake, definitely not all there. In the end it all worked out. He was only mildly disappointed that he only got $2 instead of $25. We watch My Dad is Better than Your Dad and one kid mentioned just last week he gets $25 for each tooth. I don't know where that tooth fairy is coming from but I was lucky to get a single quarter when I was a kid.
Tate of course thinks it is great that Jonah lost his teeth and now constantly is asking for me to wiggle his teeth. After the one hundreth time of sticking my fingers in his mouth, I finally gave in and agreed that his tooth feels a bit loose. Is this bad of me?

Just a Quick Update
So I had my regular appointment this week and it went terrible. Belle is fine don't worry.... My Dr. had asked all the normal questions about what was going on and cramping and what not and of course I told her. Well then she proceeds to check me and freaks out. I am not quite dilated to a 1 but I am almost completely effaced. She gave me the riot act and told me I have three weeks before I come back and if I don't slow down then she will put me on bed rest. AHHH!!! My biggest fear of course. The hard part is I feel like I have already slowed down. If any of you have seen my house you would agree. I have three kids for heavens sake. I definitely am being more careful when I'm playing the Wii and also cleaning the preschool. But it was all I could do to get out of the office without sobbing. I feel like I can't win with this pregnancy. There is always one thing or another going on. I'm just trying to focus on keeping Belle safe for the next three months and if that means bed rest then in the big scheme of things it won't be so bad right? I will definitely have bedsores, a messy house, ignored children, a husband that might want to shoot me because I will be going insane but best of all eventually my beautiful baby girl.
Anyways, on a brighter note.............Kiegan and Jonah started baseball this week and absolutely love it. They have improved so much over this past year. Tate keeps asking how old he has to be to play baseball and can't wait to grow up for some reason. I am completely content with keeping him little a bit longer. It is already hard enough playing taxi driver to two, especially with overlapping baseball schedules. Thank heavens for friends. I love baseball and am very excited to be a baseball mom this year. I also am very much looking forward to seeing a few Mariners games, especially when the Yankees are in town. Go Yankees!!!
