This checkup was a big one because they had to draw her blood to check for EVERYTHING!! It was absolutely horrible. They started on her left arm and after digging for what seemed like forever they finally got in and then proceeded to blow her vein. They went to the next arm and dug even more. Right when the one nurse said where next they finally were able to get in and get as much as they needed. It was absolutely horrible. She was crying so hard there wasn't any sound coming out of her mouth. It broke my heart. We got her results back the next day and everything came back normal except her TSH levels were high. What that means is her pituitary gland is working extra hard because her thyroid gland isn't working hard enough. This can become hypothyroid which is treated with thyroid hormones for the rest of her life. sigh... She has to go back in for all the blood work to be done all over again next month. I am not looking forward to that. I was a bit alarmed when she had only gained 1 lb. in the last three months and the doctor reassured me that because she is moving around so much that she is fine. After we got the results back though we are wondering if it has something to do with her thyroid. They will also be checking her weight and height again next month. I'll keep you posted.
Other than that she is doing great. She continues to meet her goals and is working really hard on sitting up on her own. She recently found her toes and plays with them constantly. It is very common to find her foot in one hand and the other thumb in her mouth. She loves to gab and absolutely loves any music. Her favorite food is oatmeal. If I mix anything with oatmeal she will usually eat it. She has mastered rolling from her stomach to her back, so now she can go anywhere. She absolutely adores her brothers and loves to give them lovies. She is always so happy. She truly is the best baby ever. We are so lucky. It was to hard to pick just one picture thus the reason there are so many.
